So I'm not trying to be a whiny baby here, but absolutely everything I have earned on the server was in my TARDIS because I was in the process of moving to a different location and now it's gone. Is there anything we can do to get it back? Trying real hard not to panic lol

    Nope. 'tis gone. Sorry.

  4. This is why I don't use the plugin. As cool as having a teleporting base would be, losing chunks of the Tardis vortex world seems more common than in the overworld.

I literally had my stuff in there for like a total of one day. Just my luck. Maybe it would be helpful in the future to post something on the website letting people know what will happen before shutting the server down. That way we would have been able to get anything we needed out of the tardis.

  6. All i can say is try to rebuild and move on. I had a loss a while ago that I over-reacted about and have since rebuilt to the point where it's no big deal. It may also be a good idea to divide up valuable items among several different locations, so if more chunk errors occur, you don't lose absolutely everything.

Chunk errors are rare these days, I can't remember the last time when Vortex world had an error.. I dont think it has had any errors in the time I've been here ( ~2 years) other than this one. And yes loss may feel like a big one, it always feels like it but trust me that its easy to get over with.

Thanks for trying to help guys. It would be different if I had done something stupid and caused my stuff to be lost, but this was out of my control. Otherwise, I wouldn't be complaining. All the enchanted items I found, all the more "uncommon" items, all of my minerals, everything is gone. It goes without saying, but I had multiple chests full of stuff. That makes it a massive waste of time and that's why I'm so upset. I can't just rebuild and try to move on, I'll pretty much have to completely start over because all I had on me were tools and some food, all because of something that was not my own fault and was out of my control. For someone who can't play that often, this is a huge loss. It would take me forever to get it all back with the way my schedule is now and how it will be for the rest of the summer. I was pretty much free all the time when I collected all of that stuff and it still took a while.

I understand that nothing can really be done at this point, and I appreciate all of the work markdf (and whoever else) put in trying to get the plugin fixed. I am just saying in the future, for other people, it might be helpful to give a warning on the website before shutting the server down. It's a fairly small community, so I don't think this is asking a whole lot, especially since most of us probably check the website regularly. That way, if people complain afterwards you can just point them to the warning that was posted. I'll stop talking about it now because I don't want anyone to take my comments the wrong way. I truly don't mean for them to sound malicious in any way. It just really sucks.

Vortex world has never had a chunk issue before, its lasted at least 3 world resets. Other worlds have had serious chunk issues in the past where players lost everything. In the past we never have daily backups we could revert to as we didnt have the drive space or the ability to do a daily automated backup.
